Oh wow, another Sunday already!! Let's see ... what is going on? Today we had Stake Conference in Dallas. We just got back about an hour ago. It has been a busy two days. Yesterday we drove to Waxahachie, (I know it is a weird name for a town,) and Elder Laub interviewed Julie for her Baptism next week. We couldn't get into the church, so they just used the front seat of our car and made it work. Wendy, her mom, brought her in and sat in on the interview so she could help them communicate with Julie's hearing loss. We gave Julie a little Birthday present and card and they went home.

We followed the Elders to Dallas to a place where they had been invited for lunch, and dumped us off at a member's pool party and they went to another appointment. At this point I did not know what was going on, so we just grabbed a hamburger and ate and chatted with everyone. Eventually the Elders came back from their appointment, had lunch and then we took them to a couple of their appointments and then dropped them off at their apartment. We stopped at a subway and then went over to the Stake building for evening meetings. After waiting for a little while, the Cornells came and we went in, had some soup with the stake and then into Dallas Stake Conference Meetings. It was long for Millie and Bob. I noticed that Bob had a difficult time staying awake. He was tired, he said. We got home around 10 p.m. and had to leave this morning by 7:30 p.m. to get back. Today we are tired.

Millie and Bob Cornell did not make it back this morning for conference, at least we didn't see them. Millie may not have been feeling good with her arm. When we walked in we saw the Elders sitting in the chapel, which was filled, with some extra room they were saving for investigators. We ask if they had some extra room and they moved over and made room. Their investigators showed up and we still had extra room so it worked out. It was great because we saw things were getting full. They were having another session this afternoon for the Spanish speaking people.

We had some great experiences on Friday. We started out giving Hollie a lesson on the Family and how it is the main focus of the church. We need to find someone to take over her teaching, but the Zimmerman's are gone for a month and no one has been sustained to help us. So we just keep teaching her. We love Holly very much and enjoy going there, but we cannot keep all of the people whom we teach forever.

Julie's house was under the usual amount of confusion going on when we got there on Friday afternoon. I believe they thrive on drama! This time their Grandfather Wathan was in the hospital in Dallas. He has gone in for outpatient sugery and it turned bad. He was in CCU for two days and then in a regular room another day. They put a camera down his throat to take a picture of a gall stone they missed when they took out his gall bladder. In the process of pulling it out, they tore a hole in one of his organs and made problems for themselves. They were not only unable to fix the problem, but they created more. He did get out of the hospital yesterday, we need to check on him.

We gave Julie her lesson and prepared her for her interview with Elder Laub. For the Baptismal Program, Wendy is going to give the talk on Baptism and Julie's Grandma is going to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. She is going to have Ricky Murray baptize and confirm her. Ricky is Young Men's P:resident and his wife is Relief Society Pres. We are so happy because the they need all of the support from the ward they can get. It is also good because the primary has been focusing on Baptism and confirmation this month and the primary has learned a baptism song they are going to sing.

Friday night we ended up at the home of the Nail Family. The Husband is less active and his wife, Susan, teaches Relief Society. Susan was the only one home, her husband had to go to a family funeral activity. We rescheduled with them for later. We just try to go into the homes and let people know that we love them and invite them to come back to the fold. Elder Whiting is lots of fun for them and can relate with the priesthood holders. By the end of the evening they usually will tell us exactly why they are not coming out and what is going on.

Tomorrow I will tell you what happens with our new investigator with whom we left a Book of Mormon last week. Please pray for us.
