Wed. March 4

We were somewhat disappointed today with the way things went. It was just one of those days where thing did not fall into place the way we would have liked. It wasn't anything except the situations we were in.

We taught Cristy this morning and it was all right. We are needing to make things happen so she and Noun can get married so she can be baptized. We are trying to set up a meeting with the other missionaries so we can come up with a plan. Christy has come to the point that she looks forward to our coming and actively participates. She prayed today, which was a huge step forward. We just have a few more commandments to teach her. It is so much more enjoyable to teach when they are excited about us coming, but sometimes it takes a couple of visits before they come to that point. Christy use to ditch us a lot.

Mike was somewhat of a disappointment to us. We had arranged for his wife to be out of the room so he would have to take responsibility for himself. He still was not really open with us about his feelings about the Gospel. The spirit was very strong and it was so evident. He said that he felt just like he always did. He didn't recognize the spirit that was there. He wants us to come back, but we hope he is doing it for himself and not for his wife. Time will tell. Mike is very shy and his wife always speaks for him, so we thought it might be good if she was not there. She didn't care either way.

We left Mike's house in a hurry to get back to the church for our meetings with our ward mission leader. We arrived in a rush and everything just seemed that way from the time we arrived. They started throwing things at us right and left and we just never got to catch our breath. Our new missionary sisters were there and they were trying to get acquainted with the wards too. We skipped pec cause there was not room for both of us. They really did not need us.

I felt a little guilty because the ward mission leader wanted us to give the sisters some of the people we have been working with from the second ward. I had to say "no" to all three of them because we have been working with them for so long, and the people have adapted to us. It would not be fair to the sisters because of the situations involved either. I told the sisters they would be better off starting from scratch than beginning with our problem people. And that is the truth. These are the biggest problems that we have in our teaching.

The one good thing is that we delivered a Book of Mormon to a media referral today and he wants us to come back and teach him about the Gospel. That was exciting and we are looking forward to that. His name is Eric and we will start next Wednesday.

Tomorrow in interviews meeting we are suppose to take 8 minutes and tell how we have developed teaching with the spirit. I'm going to let Elder Whiting do most of it. Maybe I will feel better about it in the morning.
