It is already the end of April!! Wow, time is just flying by. It has been a wonderful week. We have met with a lot of people and some of them more than once. They are all progressing in their teaching and enjoy having us teach them about the Gospel. So far it looks like they are all progressing towards Baptism. Some of them faster than others.

Today we taught a black fellow who was a paraplegic. He was in his twenties and when he was in high school he played football. You can guess the rest! But he has his masters in rehabilitation and works in Dallas. He is amazing what he can do!! Anyway we introduced the Gospel to him today. He seemed very interested, but time will tell. We left a Book of Mormon with him after giving him a background of the church. He is going to call us when he has his appointment book available. He seemed pretty sincere, we will see what happens. At any rate, it was enjoyable to meet with him and tell him a little about the Gospel.

Yesterday, in Sherman, we received about 6 1/2 inches of rain in about 8 hours. It was a lot of rain and it covered the road in some places. But they have developed a pretty good flood drainage system here and it was mostly gone today. Also they had a tornado touch down in Corsicana this week. It took the roof off from a school and some homes also. It wasn't anybody we knew, for which we were thanksful. Several years back they had a tornado touch down in Corsicana and it destroyed the LDS church. Of course that was a different building and location than what they have now.

Let's see, who will be our next baptism? We don't know. They are all moving towards baptism but not being ready to set a date. I think Christy Franklin should be next, but it could be Donny, or Johnny, or maybe even Mark or Eric. Of course Eric has yet to quit smoking, but he is most ready spiritually and is reading the Book of Mormon.

Juho's parents told him he had to: 1. Join the Air Force, 2. Go back to Korea. That stinks!! They are afraid he is going to get baptized in our church. He has been raised in Buddism. It is crazy, he did not even believe in God when we started with him. Nelson has had a great influence on him. It makes us sad, that he may be deprived this opportunity because of his parents. His parents used to live here, but their business failed, so they went back to Korea and left him with his aunt and uncle who adopted him so he could stay. Now he is 18 and could really do what he wanted legally. He has been going to early morning Seminary with Johnny, as well as attending on Wednesday night with both wards.

We teach Mark tomorrow. Mark says his mom is going to be so mad when she finds out he is going to be baptized in the LDS church. We laughed at that because we have not talked with him about being baptized yet. We have just taken him with us to several activities and introduced him to lots of people.

Life as a missionary is fun, and sad, and great!!! (all at once.) Tomorrow we move to another day. We have other appointments during the day, I will post later.
