Today has been a worthwhile day even thought we didn't have any standing appointments. We spent the morning making bread, rice krispy treats, and brownies. Then we went to the dollar store and bought Easter cards for the people that we are teaching and a few others. Everyone seemed to love being remembered. Some more than others, but we have found that when we take the time to remember people, they are more likely to come through on their commitments. That is what we are hoping for.

Sef Cristy is still having many ups and downs. He still does not have a job, and now his old job is trying to prevent him from collecting unemployment after they let him go. The ward is trying to step in and help wherever possible. They have been so good about that. We stopped and saw him today again and he always seems to have a sort of crises going on. But we invited he and he wife to church. He said they would call if they could come. They probably will not, but we are planting seeds. If we can just get them socialized, everything will fall into place.

We are working on getting people to come to Monica's baptism tomorrow right now. We are hoping that Boyd will come. It would really be nice if Eric would come. That just might be too much to hope for. It begins at 3 p.m.. We are hoping for a good turnout of people who are going to support her, especially her friends and leaders.

We have had a good week. It has been a taxing and spiritual one. Last night we taught the three boys the Word of Wisdom and Prayer. The spirit felt very strong. After we had taught them prayer, we challenged them to pray with "real intent;" that they would be willing to take action on those things that they learned from their prayers. They all committed to do that. We also made a scripture calendar and gave it to them. It gives them just a small amount of scriptures to read every day. It would not take them longer that 3-5 minutes. They seemed excited about doing that. We are teaching Donny again on Tuesday and then he will be up with the other two boys.

Alyson challenged me to take more pictures for this blog. I just get busy and forget to take the pictures even when I am holding the camera. I will try and remember to take it to the Baptism and take pictures. I just get focusing in on other things that have to be done. For instance if the music doesn't show up, then I go ahead and play or start the prelude. Tomorrow I have to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. I will try to get it right and then Heavenly Father will let someone else do it.
