Alyssa revisited

We talked to Alyssa just before we left and she was fine. But we arrived home to a lot of contention that her family is putting her through. At this point we do not know if she is going through with her baptism or not.

The problem is that she has not been reading and studying to know for herself. She has been relying on us and her friend for her testimony. During Thanksgiving time, she broke up with her boy friend. Her family all decided to attack her about being baptized too. So now she has several doubts about the whole thing. We are going to meet with her tomorrow and address her concerns. We may need to put off her baptism while she does some sincere studying.

Anyway last night after the Baptism we went to Walmart and found her and sat down and visited a little with her. She confessed that she was having doubts and what they were about. It just amounts to her putting for the time to study and learn for herself. She knows that it is true, but the spirit of testimony has been overcome by the aggressive onslaught that Satan has enrolled her parents and family to do. She has struggled with this before, but we will try and help the best that we can.

Today is Sunday and we are going to the Branch Pres. Home for dinner with Eric and Lucia. We are starting to meet with Eric again at the branch building to study and try to set a date with him. He should not be far away from that.

Bill's baptism is in two weeks. He is ready to go, just needs to go forth positively!!
