As I have said before, time has just flown while here on this mission. So much is going on all of the time, we loose track of time except for our appointment book!! That is good because that is one thing that keeps us happy: We just keep serving.
Wednesday, (yesterday), we ran over to Walmart and picked up a plant for Millie and took it over to the hospital to her. They were getting ready to leave in a few minutes so we were right on time. They were appreciative. We called them today and Millie was feeling better although still on pain medication. We made an appointment with them to teach tomorrow. Bob told us that the Relief Society brought in a meal for them last night. We asked Sister Young to take care of that and I think she just did it herself, (she is a counselor in the Relief Society Pres.)
We stopped at the Parnell house to visit them and he at least invited us back. We haven't been able to get in to their house. I hope this is positive. We tried to see other members also, but haven't been able to catch them home. Last night was mutual and Leon went over and visited with the Branch and worked on their records. They all enjoy him.
Today we went to Holly's house and taught her a discussion on the Holy Ghost. We have talked to her about that before, but we did more in depth teaching. I loo0ked at her and said, "Hollie, you've got a glow about you! Do you feel different?" She said that she did and she felt a lot different. Her whole countenance was just different. She just seems more alive and confident. She ask us for a D & C. We need to find her one. When we left she said, "See you at church on Sunday!" What a neat thing to hear!!!
The Williams family was grateful to see us this afternoon. They have a 16 yr old daughter living with them that doesn't come to church. Her boyfriend is also living there, but he is not a member. It's kind of a crazy situation. People down here do things a little different. They were very nice to us, though. We had a good visit. The parents are pretty active.
Adrianna Saul is in her 30's and works as a supervisor at Taco Bell. She is also a published author, her first book of poetry. She is having a book signing this week-end in Dallas, I think.
She is struggling financially so her mom lives with her and Adrianna's son who is about 13. I asked her how she got her book published and she said that the publisher agreed to take a percentage of her profits. Anyway we went to visit her tonight. We have never seen her come to Sacrament meeting and she doesn't seem to know a lot about the church. We just took her a loaf of bread and tried to let her know we cared. I think she was baptized about 10 years ago.
Sister martin is getting better little by little. Eddie Martin, her husband, is more friendly to us also. I guess even though he goes to the Cowboy church, he still likes the Mormons, he just thinks there is too much dogma!!! Ha! HA!

Okay did I miss where you explained what the "cowboy church" is? What is it? Sounds as if you are meeting so many different kinds of people. How fun to get to know others like that!
The Cowboy church is just that. I'm not sure what they believe, but that is their name. He likes it because he gets to play his music. I think he plays the guitar or something. Down here they have a church on every corner. There is even a church called, "that church." Isn't that weird?
