Today was district meeting and interviews with president Smith. We love to be around the young missionaries, they are fun. Today Sister Smith made them learn how to clean toilets, by cleaning two of the bathrooms in the building we were in. I mean she had them scrub everything. They even cleaned the floors, walls, urinals and toilets and even mirrors. They did it with a smile on their faces and all. I was proud of them. We also took some chocolate and shared with the other senior couple. We thought we would take some next meeting and share with the Elders, they would like that.
Our interview with President Smith went fine. He ask us how things we going and we told him that we enjoyed the work very much but we sure did need some support from our Branch President and Branch. We talked quite a bit about that. We told him we would continue working hard and doing whatever the Lord wanted us to do. He was going to lunch with our Stake President tomorrow and he said he would see what he could find out. We just can't get our Branch Presidency to meet with the people except for the emergencies. They need caring so badly. We have a difficult time baptizing people into a branch where they will not receive the fellowshipping they need. We will see what happens.
We went to the ward building tonight and Elder Whiting did clerk work and I did knitting in the entry way with the other sisters who bring their families to Seminary, Activity night and Mutual. It is an excellent way to fellowship and find out how we can help. Tonight one of the mom's and kids saw me knitting and wanted to learn how, so I taught them how to cast on, I told them next week I would teach them more. I think it just looked like fun and they wanted to try it. It was good fellowshipping with less actives. One of them, I found out has a 9 year old that has not been baptized. So it gave us somewhere else to concentrate our efforts.
Yesterday, (Tuesday,) we taught the Cornells in the morning. We love to go there and usually take them some bread. We are still trying to get him to set a date and he just dodges the bullet. We hope that we don't get transferred before Bob is baptized. There may be a chance of that expecially after we talked to the president today.
We also met with the ward mission leader yesterday who has been gone for a month. We spent a lot of time catching them up with what has benn going on. It was good because they are fresh and we are tired of some of the things that haven't changed in the branch. After our meeting with met Adam and Holly and went out to one of the local places to eat. We were wanting to fellowship with Adam and see if we couldn't get him to respond to some of our caring. We had a good time and we told them how much we loved them all.
At Braums we stopped and talked with pam Smith for a while on the way home. She is Bob's married daughter. He brought her to our birthday luncheon. She was really warm to us that day, but was busy and not real friendly last night. She may not be a possibility for us to teach in the near future. She has had a hard life with drugs, etc. and at her age is still working fast food.
She had been clean for some time but doesn't seem to have any direction. We will just wait for the Lord to open a way for us or whomever to teach her.

Thank you, Jeff. Sometimes it's hard to get on here because there isn't always a lot to report, but that's the way it is, huh!!
The work rolls on! Sounds like you're making some good strides. I also enjoy hearing your stories. I'm glad the mission president listens to you. You should bring him some chocolate! Have a good day! I love you!
