The word is out!!!

Elder Whiting and I have been having this quandry!! We have a baptism date for Diana but it is after we were suppose to be out of our apartment so the new missionaries can move in. We were pretty sure we were being transferred, but needed some dates so we could decide how to handle things. We really didn't ask where we were going, but Elder Hanson just told us the whole thing!

We are going to Sulfa Springs, Texas. We do not have to leave until a week from Monday, so we can stay for Diana's baptism. The new Elders will have to stay with the other Elders in the area for a few days. It will be a pain, but that is what Elder Hanson suggested. We were thrilled because we anticipated having to get a Motel when we came back for her Baptism and Confirmation.

Sulfa Springs is a town of about 15, 000 people. There are a couple of factories or manufacturing plants in that area. I'm not sure quite what to expect. I sincerely hope we are not going into a Corsicana situation. But whatever it is, we will do our best and pray for the Lord to make up the difference, just as he previously has.

Today we taught Diana about obedience and other commandments. The biggest thing we haven't taught her is tithing. We just love her, she is so real. We also were able to teach Eric today. We taught him about the atonement and baptism, and the importance of being baptized by authority. We also told him that we would be leaving, (we haven't told anyone else yet.) He is said about that but promised to let us know when he would be baptized. He is ready to commit right now, but recognizes that he needs to quit his cigarettes and coffee first. We do love that man, he is a good friend and very sincere.

Tonight we went to our ward meetings and planned a Friday night barbeque at the Stradlings for many of the people we and the Sisters are teaching; for a fellowshipping activity. Bro. Stradling has fishing poles and holes that are planted with fish that they can catch. They just need to throw he fish back in.
