The Stake, Temple Baptism for converts!

Last night the Stake sponsored a trip to the Dallas Temple for those newly baptized people who had not been to the Temple as yet. We drove down and took Jeannie Via; Mark went down with the Stradlings, Christy and Boyd went down with the Hathaways; and Johnny and JuHo went down with Nelson Moak! We had six of our converts there in the Temple all together.

It was so rewarding to see the fruits of our labors all together in the Temple. The best part of it is that it won't be long and everyone of them want to go to the Temple! Others that could not go plan on going with the youth, or just could not be there. The Stake president had each of us introduce ourselves and they were all so kind in their words of appreciation towards us.

When we went in to get our Baptismal clothing, a man dressed in his white suit saw my name tag and said, "Sister Whiting, I am so happy to meet you. President Smith has told us all about you and your husband!" I was standing there speechless. Anyway he raved on and on. I really tried to give the Lord the credit. I hope he understood. He basically said the same thing to Elder Whiting when he saw him too. It helped us to feel appreciated, especially now that we fell things are coming to an end.

As we were talking later, we were saying that, we basically stumbled on these people and they begged us to baptize them! Seriously we were very blessed and we recognize every bit of it. It was such an enjoyable evening though, to see these people dressed in white and doing these ordinances.

Ashley hesitated, at first, but later put on the suit and was baptized and confirmed. Also Christy would not wear a dress to the Temple, (she didn't own one,) but wore a white dress in the temple to be confirmed. They are all growing in their feelings and attitudes. Oh, we do love them and recognize the Lord's love and need for them in his kingdom.
