Wed., June 17

Yesterday we went to district meetings in Waxahatchie, Texas. It is about an hour drive. We met and talked about our investigators and heard talks and thoughts. Then we stopped and ate with the district at Panda Express. We were not going to eat with them, but they said they had no MSG, so we tried it. We didn't enjoy the food that much, but it was enjoyable to be with the Elders.

We came home and I make bread for the "cooking with your Food Storage " class and Dad made sour dough pancakes. Then we went to the church and participated in a even of crafts and cooking. There were a lot of non members there and less actives too. It was good to see all.

This morning we taught the third lesson to Hollie. Adam was not there, he had a class, but she had the baby there that is 17 months. He was very distracting for us as well as for her. We took a member with us and we all felt the distraction. So next time we are going to try and arrange it when he is asleep or with someone else. It was her day off and I'm sure she wanted to enjoy as much as possible.

Hollie ask us where she could get her own scriptures today. She said she enjoyed church and would be there next Sunday too. Last week she went out and bought a skirt and blouse so she could come to church. We are excited that she is responding so well, but we want to be sure she is ready for baptism when she makes it. It is such a priviledge and a blessing to teach for Heavenly Father.

Tonight we are going to the Branch Missionary Leaders, (The Zimmerman's) house by a lake somewhere for dinner. The are an older couple, about our age, very nice. This morning Leon and I talked about spending a few hours a day trying to get the branch list updated. That is our plan.
